About Epworth: A Place for Life

Founded in 1890 by Melissa Briggs, a Methodist Deaconess, Epworth was located at 31st and Walnut Streets in Denver until 1915, when it was moved to 31st and Lawrence Streets. Housed in its present location since 1980, Epworth is known as a small congregation with a big heart.

Among the many programs sponsored by the Church either directly or through its social gospel outreach, The Epworth Foundation, are:

* Denver's Feed A Family program,
commemorating the memory of "Daddy Bruce" Randolph
* Youth Entrepreneur Program
* Whiz Kids (tutoring)
* Computer Lab
* Vacation Bible School/Talent Camp
* Community bible study

* Fatherhood initiative
* Annual scholarship
